Explore campus resources available to support student well-being and success.

Student Support Services (SSS) works closely with students facing a range of challenges—from health and mental health concerns, to family emergencies, experiences of discrimination or harassment, academic pressures, and more. Whether a student is dealing with a concussion, navigating a Title IX matter, experiencing grief, or unsure where to turn, we are here to help facilitate connections to the right support.

Below are some of the primary resources that we regularly help students access:

Whether planning coursework, pursuing campus resources to assist in a time of financial hardship, seeking help with a personal circumstance, or tackling an academic challenge, students have access to advisors who offer guidance tailored to their individual needs.
The Administrator on Call (AOC) is available to support all Brown undergraduate, graduate and medical students in need of immediate assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Brown University provides 24/7 support for student emergencies and urgent or crisis situations — including nights, weekends, and holidays. Know who to contact during urgent situations for immediate support and guidance.
Brown undergraduate, graduate and medical students may receive legal advice from an attorney contracted through the Student Activities Office and funded by the Undergraduate Council of Students, Graduate Student Council and Medical School.
If students have experienced discrimination, harassment, gender discrimination, or sexual violence, or if they have experienced or witnessed a potential violation of the Code of Student Conduct, Brown has a range of reporting options and resources.
Provides support for students living on campus, including housing services, crisis response, and community engagement.
Comprehensive medical care, including treatment for illness or injury, support for chronic conditions, and coordination with outside providers.
