Care Team
About the Care Team
The Care Team is a multidisciplinary group that meets weekly during the semester to consult, refer, and provide guidance for students who may be experiencing health, personal, or other challenges. Its primary goal is to coordinate the most effective networks of support to promote student well-being, success, and belonging.
The team takes a proactive and coordinated approach to student support, identifying concerns early and collaborating across departments to ensure students are connected with the right resources at the right time. The focus is on creating clear, accessible pathways that address both academic and personal well-being while supporting a safe campus environment.
Convened by the Office of Student Support Services, the core Care Team includes representatives from:
- Athletics
- The College
- The Dean of Students
- Counseling and Psychological Services
- Student Accessibility Services
- Student Health Services
- Residential Life
- BWell Health Promotion
- Student Conduct and Community Standards
Additional ad hoc members may be invited when their expertise or direct involvement is relevant to a specific student’s needs.
By bringing together professionals from diverse areas of the University, the Care Team offers informed, holistic support that addresses the multifaceted needs of students, fostering resilience, academic achievement, and overall well-being.
